I was intitially approached by Helensburgh’s new tourist office to create a map of the town which exagerated the town centre, key locations and buildings. While originally intended as the centrespread of a seasonal local tourism magazine, it is now primarily used as a free map available from the tourist office.
Following this Argyll & Bute Council commissioned a more detailed version to be installed as part of a major update to the town centre. This came at a time of many changes in the town, which required liasing with several groups and bodies to ensure place names, street layouts and new key buildings under contruction were all included as accurately as possible.
